Fibre to the Cabinet Broadband, like ADSL, is delivered to your premises over a standard telephone line. It utilises special equipment in your nearest BT street cabinet which then connects to the local telephone exchange using high speed fibre optic cables. As broadband signals only have to travel a short distance a much faster service is possible.
